Pumpkins!

We had our second annual trip to the Petaluma pumpkin patch last weekend.  First one documented here.  Made it home safely with a shocking $80 worth of pumpkins (what happens when six people get to pick out their own pumpkins.)  The baby cows and the hay pyramid were a hit.  The haystack maze was rated less highly.  This was an easier trip than last year but I think it actually took us the same amount of time to leave the house.  Baby steps.

 Dave had Eli
Roby and I were there too.  Sarah Jane took this and it was so close to awesome.  Next year.
 Anna, happy.

Sarah Jane only smiles if you tell her not too.  Anna follows directions.

New Years in pictures

We spent New Years Eve with the kids at the "Noon Years Eve" party at the Discovery Museum in Marin.
The girls wore fancy dresses and got bags of swag which included necklaces and bubbles.  A big hit.
They had a DJ.  We rocked out.
Dave got to wear the sunglasses.

The Chuns went with us too.  Andy pointed out that Sarah Jane has already mastered her "sorority girl picture lean-in."
Here I am, two-fisting the babies.  Dartmouth style.  Directly after this picture we lost Drew-Drew and the other three adults scattered into the crowd looking for him while I stayed with the remaining five kids, doing the count-down and watching a big rubber ball get tossed off a balcony.  Just as anti-climatic as the real thing.  Thankfully we found Drew-Drew who did not know he was lost and I didn't lose anyone else.  Phew..

The girls recovered the next day with a bit of screen time.

Happy late New Years to all of you!

After Christmas Dave and I took the girls to the beach for some "alone" time.  For the record, two kids is way easier than four.  I got to play with my new camera lens.  So fun!

Pretty sweet, eh?  I Living in California is so insanely wonderful.  Particularly when it is snowing everywhere else.

Dave was sent with a bucket for water.

He misjudged the waves and came back a bit wet.

 Snuggling with dad.
Anna dipped her graham cracker in the ocean.  Apparently it was good because she went back for more.

I like my new toy.  Thank you Dave.

Halloween prep

Happy Halloween!  We had a great weekend and spent all day Sunday getting ready for Halloween, which, for obvious reasons is totally my favorite holiday.  I'm therefore indulging in some gratuitious cute kid picture posting.  Too much here but hey, it's my birthday and I can post if I wanna.

Sister love.  And a sharp pink pencil.  Don't know what was going on with that.
 Pumpkin carving!

 Serious work.
 Pumpkin design.
 Note the Hoverman tongue.
Anna, carefully removing the faces Sarah Jane has carefully drawn.  Oh sisters.
 Anna got bored.

 Sarah Jane was intent.
 Anna was still bored.

New entertainment - playing catch with yourself.
I made Dave take this picture.  For now I can carry the boys around like this.  In about three days they are going to be too heavy, they are growing so fast!  But for now, this is how we roll.
Dave, his girls, and some burriots.  Good times.
 Sarah Jane took this one.
More Halloween coming soon!
