Annie pictures

Annie Florin, photographer/magician, took our pictures a couple of weekends ago and we just got them back.  We've done this twice before when each of the girls was 15 months, and now we have  a set for the boys at 18 months.  She worked her magic again and despite freezing cold, gooey mud and four hungry and tired kids, she managed to capture our kiddos in all their fun and quirkiness.  Full set of pictures (with soundtrack!) is here for those interested:)

Below are some of my favorites from the first time we met Annie when it was just the three of us and from the second when she came to Berkeley to photograph Anna. Fun to see SJ and Anna at the same age as the boys.

Anna's turn.  This was a big week.  We'd just found out I was having twins but hadn't told anyone.  The doctor thought they were mono-mono, high-risk twins which Google quickly informed us had a 50% likelihood of survival.  We had a lot to absorb on that one.  (Turned out they weren't mono-mono, they were mono-di, still risky, but much less so.)  The day after these pictures Anna ended up at Children's hospital for 8 hours getting chest x-rays because she wasn't breathing.  Good times! Can't tell it from the pictures.  Annie does a good job.
