We headed up to Tahoe for our annual "Birthday Week" family vacation. Five family birthdays in 10 days; Anna (19), Sarah Jane (22), Zeke (23), Ellie (27) and Whitney (29). Big week!
The car was loaded to capacity on Friday night when we headed up. We put SJ's present on last, after everyone was settled in the car. Someone is going to have a good birthday!
Dave did Anna's hair this morning. I was impressed, needed to document.
Sarah Jane and Anna climbed on the Jungle Gym that I got for my 2nd birthday. Big hit.
The had a lovely nap while the girls hit the beach with their dad. Wake up was happy. (Roby in red, Eli in green.)
It rained a bit after nap so the girls got a Dora treat.
Then, the big event of the day, Aunt Ellie who we haven't seen since January arrived!
The rain cleared up and we headed to the beach. Is it bad that I was counting down the minutes to my first vacation cocktail starting at 7:13 this morning? Dave and I declared the commencement of evening drinking at 4pm and I celebrated with a Gin & Tonic to-go in an empty jam jar at the beach.
Here we are headed to the beach. The girls like to ride in the golf cart standing up.
Eli insists on helping Dave drive. Dave was taking his driving duties very seriously.
Roby and I were there too.
A good, if slightly rainy, start to vacation. Looking forward to Anna's big day tomorrow!
