On Saturday we went to the A's game. Nana and Papa bought 12 amazing tickets, row 10, right at third base. The Yankees were playing and they pointed out that 12 tickets on the field in Oakland were the cost of two tickets in Yankee Stadium. We most definitely weren't at Yankee Stadium but at least Nana and Papa got to see the Yankees win. The rest of us enjoyed the game though would have appreciated a hometown victory.
We had Anna, Sarah Jane and Sarah Jane's friend Bryn with us. The boys stayed home. Anna's favorite part was visiting with the elephant. This photo (taken by Danise), while cute, doesn't display the total joy that the giant elephant induced.
The girls totally ignored the actual baseball game but were very patient and humored us through all nine innings. They entertained themselves by eating the entire three hours. I don't think my girls have ever consumed so many calories in a week let alone a single day let alone three hours! The cotton candy was the biggest hit although it apparently turned Sarah Jane into a zombie.
