Spring break

We just finished Spring break, or rather will finish it tomorrow at 8:30 on the dot when I drop Anna off at Teacher Bari's.  The girls had a Berkeley staycation and I thought I'd share the highlights.

Anna kicked it off on Saturday morning at 6:05am by consuming an entire bottle of Children's Tylenol.  (Things to do as a parent: Call poison control at least once. Check.)  Turns out they sell small bottles of Tylenol for a reason.  As best as we know, she ate 27 pills. After consulting with Justin (very nice Poison Control hotline guy) it seems that 36 would require a trip to the ER.  She had a tummy ache and reported that she felt yucky but otherwise, was symptom free.  I'm not sure Dave and I are fully recovered though.

On Wednesday I took the girls on an adventure on BART.  We headed into the city and walked to Daddy's office.  Once there we drew pictures, got the tour, raided his snack cabinet and then walked to the Ferry Building for a leisurely lunch that included milkshakes.  Big hit.

No, it wasn't raining.  Anna just doesn't leave the house without her rain coat these days.
On Thursday I took the girls to the Discovery Museum.  We hit all the main attractions.

 Two of them!
Sarah Jane's project for the week was to continue her packing extravaganza for Disneyland.  We are going in a month.  She's been packing for 3 weeks.  Everything she loves is in this pile.  I have no idea how I'm going to break it to her that we're going carry on only.
On Friday I went to work but Dave stayed home and took the girls and SJ's friend Bryn to the Little Farm.  No pictures but apparently there were a lot of really cute baby sheep and goats.  Anna was brave (sort of) and fed the cows.  Sarah Jane reports she is no longer afraid of the chickens.

On Saturday we visited the Merry-go-Round.  Big hit, as always.
Sunday was Easter, celebrated at Grandma and Zeke's.  Lots of pictures but those will have to wait for another day.
