Anna spent most of the day with Gramma and Zeke. Zeke actually got Anna to go back to sleep after she woke up in her nap. That has to be a first!

Anna was quite sad today. She is not doing well with this tooth (which continues to refuse to make an actual appearance but which is clearly bothering her.)

Anna spent the day at Brady's birthday party in the city hanging out with "Brady's Blake" aka Baby Drew. She was a very good sport despite only a brief nap in the stroller. She does NOT like tart yogurt.

Anna loves, loves, loves to play outside crawling all over the grass and in and out of the tent. She can entertain herself for a very long time much to her mother's massive appreciation.

Anna is still waking up at 4, maybe in pain due to teeth? Hard to tell. Requires a bottle to back to sleep. Argh. How do I keep getting myself in this situation?

Anna has many tricks now, and nearly all involve her hands - she waves with her whole arm, can high-five, can clap, can hug (mommy's favorite) and sings along when we go up the wooden hill.

Anna is completely done with eating mushed up food. She won't put anything in her mouth that comes on a spoon, even when she is very hungry!

Anna is not scared of the water! She crawled right in to the creek and played along with her big sister despite the fact that it was absolutely freezing. She also likes to eat the sand and would have consumed several rocks had she had her way.

Anna enjoyed the annual Glenbrook 4th of July golf cart extravaganza, watching happily from the baby backpack on Daddy's back while he rode through the parade. It looked a bit precarious but they both seemed to enjoy the experience.

Anna had her first ride in the kid carrier on the back of dad's bike on a family expedition to the grocery store. No surprises - she hated her helmet, she loved it when dad went fast.

Anna slept late this morning, all the way to 7:50 (when she had to be woken up.) This was actually her morning nap as she woke up at 5 and demanded a bottle until 5:45 when her mother finally got out of bed and fetched one for her…

Anna has now officially "slept late" this entire week! She is still waking up for her bottle but later and later and then went back to sleep. Dave and I have been enjoying the change immensely!

Anna climbed all the way up the stairs today, singing and grunting and generally celebrating her success the whole way up. She nearly did a victory dance when she got to the top!

Anna went hiking on Mount Tam today with Daddy, Mommy, SJ, Aunt Kiki, Uncle Geoff and Cousin Blake. She rode in the Ergo all the way up and sang most of the way. She ate pancakes at the top and then slept most of the way down. Very nice morning!

Anna is our bambam - her favorite activity is climbing into her bouncy chair, knees down and riding it like a horse holding on to the top and yelling. When she's not doing that she's sprinting for the stairs. When she's not doing that she standing up and trying to climb up whatever flat surface is in her way.

Anna drove up to Tahoe tonight with her Mama and her Aunt Whitney. She was very cheerful and easy in the car and then went right to sleep when we got there at around midnight - good job Anna!

Anna is such a brave and fun little girl - she loves the beach and thinks playing in the water is lots and lots of fun. She also likes sitting in her little green chair with all the other folks sitting in their chairs.

Anna had to learn how to fall asleep last night without a bottle. It took her about 30 minutes. Poor Anna.
